Recent News

1.27.2010: Effective January 1, 2011 CompTIA A+, Network+ and Security+ certifications will be valid for three years from the certification date.

Lifetime certification is still valid for those who achieve these certifications through December 31, 2010. Other CompTIA certifications are not affected by this renewal policy.

As of January 1, 2011 CompTIA A+, Network+, and Security+ certifications must be renewed every three years by (1) taking the current certification exam, OR (2) participating in CompTIA’s new continuing education program, which will allow individuals to update their certifications without retesting.

CompTIA will launch the continuing education program on January 1, 2011. Additional program details will be available soon.  Check CompTIA’s renewal information site for updates:  www.comptia.org/renewal

Who is certified for life? If you are already CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+ certified you remain certified for life. If you achieve any of these certifications by December 31, 2010, you will be certified for life.
