Security+ exam SY0-601 has retired!

CompTIA Security+ exam SY0-701 launched November 2023. This exam focuses on skills needed for the following tasks:

  • Assess the cybersecurity posture of an enterprise environment.
  • Recommend and implement appropriate cybersecurity solutions.
  • Monitor and secure hybrid environments.
  • Operate with an awareness of applicable laws and policies including principles of governance, risk, and compliance.
  • Identify, analyze and respond to cybersecurity events and incidents.

What about a JOB?

Background. CompTIA recommends that Security+ certification candidates have their CompTIA Network+ certification, along with two years of technical networking experience, with an emphasis on security.

Jobs. Jobs related to Security+ competencies include security architect/engineer, security consultant/specialist, information assurance technician, security/systems/network administrators.
