p. 5. The Cisco certification has words reversed. The certification listed should be Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).

p. 55. The Tech Tip on the side of the page begins with "A very few PCs." It should say, "Very few PCs."

p. 91. The first bullet point at the top of the page states that, "If the user doesn’t specify a screensaver to use, Windows refers to this folder's settings to determine what screensaver it should use if needed." This is incorrect. This folder is a template that Windows copies and customizes when a new user logs on for this first time. It is not used by Windows after that.

p. 260. The first bullet on the page says that "a black '!' on a yellow circle" appears, while the referenced figure shows a triangle with an exclamation point.  The description incorrectly describes the figure, but it is true for Windows XP. Windows Vista/7 changed the yellow circle to a yellow triangle. The meaning of the error remains the same.

p. 339. The note in the middle of the page says that SATA 3.0 has a data rate of "6GBps." This should say "6Gbps."

p. 500. last sentence in the paragraph under "Migrating and Retiring" mentions "A+ exam" in the singular. It should read ". . . for the CompTIA A+ exams . . ."
