p. 67, the answer to question 4 should read as follows:

4. B. You can use IPCONFIG /ALL from the command line to determine the MAC address of any system running Windows NT, Windows 2000, or Windows XP.

p. 83. The note below Figure 4-18 has a few 0s missing. The µ symbol stands for micro, or 1/1,000,000, not 1/1,000!

p. 267, third full paragraph. The sentence that reads, "The secret lies in the universal numbing system." should read "The secret lies in the universal numbering system."

p. 293, second full paragraph; both references to the well-known ports should have 1023 as the last of the numbers, not 1204. Well-known port numbers range from 0-1023.

p. 300, fourth line from the bottom should read "...and run WINIPCFG (Windows 9x/Me)..." Windows XP does not use WINIPCFG.

p. 448, in the second and third paragraphs, references to WINIPCFG should be ignored. This command only works on Windows 9x systems.

p. 469, Figure 15-6 is incorrect. The following image is correct:

p. 475, third full paragraph; NAT stands for network address translation, not natural address translation.

p. 485, second and third lines; the text for HTTPS is wrong. The sentence should read (changes in bold): "HTTPS stands for Hypertext Transfer Protocol over SSL."

p. 507, middle of the first paragraph. The statement about ISDN PRI channels and speed should be replaced with this sentence (changes in bold):

ISDN PRI provides 23 B channels for a total throughput of 1.5 Mbps.

p. 518, first paragraph; the E1 and E3 speeds are slightly off and should be 2.048 Mbps and 34.368 Mbps, respectively.

p. 604, on Question 5, answer choice B should read "File Services for Macintosh."

p. 605, the answer for Question 5 should begin as "With File Services for Macintosh..."
