Hi Gang-

I was playing World of Warcraft recently when I got an in game message that started something like this:

<mystery person>"Hi! I don't want to sound like a cyber-stalker but is this Mike Meyers?"

I freaked out. My characters name is - well, there are clues in my A+ book - and this person found my character name and found me! At first I thought it was one of my friends making a joke but nope - a young lady named Rachel had seen my clue in the A+ book, managed to find me online and said "hello". A few weeks later (tonight) she chatted to me again to let me know she passed both the 601 and 602. I thought it was great!

Anyway here's a pic of her and I.

Thanks Rachel!

Mike

Yeah, I think my toon looks like me, too! Except taller. And...er...more blue. Heh. Maybe I should have rolled a L1 gnome instead? Yes, I am officially certified, and I am only kind of an e-stalker. Thanks Mike =)

Good on ya for playing Online games. I played Everquest for 2 1/2 years, then Dark Age of Camelot for four years. I played far too much. It wasn't healthy. I kicked the habit and haven't played an online game for over 2 years. I sound like someone in a help group, I know. If you can play briefly here and there, more power too you. I don't think I'll ever play an online game again, though.

I don't know if any of you follow CtrlAltDel the comic, but the author, Tim Buckley has been doing a storyline arc on MMO addiction.

I haven't played since Asheron's Call, back in '99. No sense in paying a monthly charge when I have a whole bookshelf of games just waiting to be played.
